Chatkode

Claim a temporary chat account within 24 hours

Random chat starts instantly. Claiming is optional — and time-boxed — so you can keep the conversations that matter.

Why temporary accounts exist

Chatkode lets you start with a temporary name so Match/Skip random chat does not require a phone number or a long signup. That speed is the product.

Temporary accounts are not forever. If you do nothing, they expire after 24 hours.

What claiming keeps

Claim Account keeps the same user ID so history and media from this session stay linked. You are not starting over as a brand-new stranger if you want continuity.

After claim, friends and reconnects can be secondary tools. Random Match remains the primary way people meet on Chatkode.

When to claim

Claim early if a conversation is going well, if you shared files you care about, or if you know you will return tomorrow.

Skip claiming if this was a one-time chat and you prefer a clean exit when the temporary session ends.

How to claim

In the app, choose Claim Account and complete email or Google sign-in with an account you control. Bookmark app.chatkode.com/random so you return to the real product.

After claiming, you can still Match, Skip, Block, and Report the same way — claim adds continuity, not dating-app complexity.

Honest limits

Claiming is not full anonymity. It ties recovery to email or Google while others still see your chat name, not your phone number.

Read username identity and privacy architecture if you want the plain-language boundary between temp sessions and claimed accounts.
